What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Bullard Woods for its easy, scenic trails and beautiful waterfront along Stockbridge Bowl. It's a highly recommended spot for dog walking and wildlife viewing, with ample picnic areas. Some note the parking driveway is steep and trails can be muddy after rain.
"Hiked here while visiting Lenox. Well worth a visit. Easy trails with lots of beautiful woods and open areas for picnic, sunbathing, or just relaxing. Nicely marked trails with parts hugging the coast of the lake."

"Bullard Woods was donated to the Stockbridge Bowl Association in the mid twentieth century. It's a gorgeous, meandering set of trails feauturing, well, wooded areas (of course) but also fields and a beautiful waterfront with a few picnic tables. It also connects to Gould Meadows to the West via the Tanglewood Connector Trail. Kudos to the SBA, Tanglewood and the Town of Stockbridge for preserving the entire northern portion of the Bowl and making its trails available to the public. It's open all year and it's a great place to bring your dog and is considered one of the best dog walking locales in the Berkshires. Finally, it's a great spot to see wildlife. I've had numerous fox sitings and deer of course, but my favorite was the beaver along the shores of the Bowl, which I captured in a photo below. There are also several bald eagles who nest here and are often seen circling far above or hanging out in the upper branches of an oak tree on the lake's shore. Fantastic."
