Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Vermilion River Trail for its peaceful atmosphere, scenic river views, and opportunities for wildlife spotting. It's a well-loved spot for dog walks and family picnics, offering a refreshing natural escape. Some minor drawbacks include occasional litter and potential restroom closures.

"Nice peaceful trail a block away from City Park that starts at 201 W. Broadway St. and runs along the Vermilion River and ends at 1st St. Nice views of the river and different creeks along the way. Every once in a while you will see some deer back there. Sometimes I just walk it but other times I’ll ride down it on my scooter. It’s a good time."

Brett Baumrucker

"Such a hidden place but a great time to take dogs on a good walk! We walked two miles such a pretty view of the vermilion. They also have picnic tables by the water where you can eat and just unwind"

Josiah Parcher

"Nice hiking trail. Took a wagon and picnicked at the.5 mile mark with 6 kids. Pretty flat with a few hills. Garbage cans all along the trail but still quite a bit of litter. We picked some up along the way.
Bathrooms are closed at the trailhead due to Covid per a couple of workers on the trail. Only disappointing part."
