What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum for its impressive collection of historic and custom bikes, with special appreciation for the Burt Munro exhibit and the focus on women riders. While some find the entry fee a bit steep for the time spent, most agree it's a worthwhile stop to understand Sturgis's iconic biker culture.
"This was a pretty neat stop. Sturgis is well known for its biking culture, this museum is the perfect stop. The land speed record breaking motorcycle is here, along with a ton of other custom, vintage and historic bikes. This place is NOT a good museum for kids. Everything is, understandably, not to be touched. Kids are allowed here but they need to behave and their parents need to keep a watchful eye!"
The Wayward Nurse
"We enjoyed seeing a wide variety of historic and unique custom motorcycles and exhibits. Entry fee seemed a little pricey, but overall a good way to spend an hour in downtown Sturgis."
Barbara Fangman
"This should be everyone's first stop in Sturgis. It gives an excellent view into the bike culture with a surprising emphasis on women riders and their contributions. The bikes and art are not only very cool, but iconic representation of a bike counter-culture harkening back nearly a century"
