What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Imperial Park for its well-maintained disc golf course, offering challenging holes and multiple tee options. It's also noted as a great venue for cross country events and softball games. Some find the disc golf fairways narrow and dense, and caution is advised for disc retrieval due to thorny plants and ant nests.
"Best place in Sugar Land to play disc golf. Kudos to the City for laying out a nice course. 10 baskets in all. Course map is good but aerial photo needs an update. There are 2 sets of tees per basket (yellow and blue). Blue tee boxes are well marked but yellow ones are harder to find. Don’t quite understand the difference between them both TBH. Yes, there are a couple of baskets (2 & 3) that are near the drainage ditch but it’s not a big deal. The water level in the ditch is pretty much always low unless it has just rained. However, for baskets 7-9 the fairways are very narrow (surrounded by thick brush) and in some spots this means you need to know what you’re doing or you’ll lose your disc quick! Best way to get to starting tee is get to the parking lot on the west (opposite softball fields): it's south of Hwy 90, right after Discount Tire shop (if you’re going eastbound)."

"Great course with 10 baskets. Great distances and challenges. There are baskets along waterways. Park is well maintained. During mosquito season make sure to have repellent. Parking is on the street or next to discount tire. If your disc goes in to the wooded areas you might want gloves or long pants on to retrieve since the plants and bushes can be thorny.
The baskets with multiple path options are not marked with preferred path."
