What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors generally find Burnet Park to be a pleasant and accessible green space, particularly for families and golf enthusiasts. The historic golf course with its scenic views is a major highlight. While some note a desire for more elaborate playground facilities, the park offers good recreational opportunities and a peaceful atmosphere for picnics and walks. Some older reviews mention changes to exhibits or facilities, but the fair admission price and enjoyable experiences keep visitors returning.
"Enjoyed a beautiful early spring day with my son. Got to see more of the animals we didn't get to see when we went last fall. And loving the elephant twins!!"
Christina Giacchi
"Great zoo trip with a 5 year old. Went at her pace and therefore didn't make it around the entire zoo. Which of course means we need to go back again! A very enjoyable family event."
LJ Gorton
"I have been coming to this zoo since I was a child. I've noticed a lot of changes. The walking trail seems to have been cut in half, they changed burger king into "jungle cafe" (which is gross and expensive). In the buildings a lot of exhibits were empty and outside we didn't see tons of animals either. They have a sand area for children, which is great they loved it. But they got rid of the milking cows, which all children loved. All in all this was a good trip and I would go back someday"
