The building is filled with such unique wonderful art and history and amazing chandeliers hanging from the ceiling everywhere you look. It was the most unique Hotel experience. I would definitely recommend just saying here if you like weird and quirky and artistic things. Also it's great if you love bar hopping and exploring"

"Is this an Iconic establishment or what ?!!! Early on dear friends ( Tacomites of 7 yrs ) brought us to this Elks Temple. If walls could only talk. A major renovation, artistry, creativity, humor, mystery, nuance snd the " Mcmenamins " was given a new Life !!! For the uniniatiated there is a " Wandering Map " available for exactly that ! Have a look at the Spanish Ballroom & bar for events, live 🎶 Tapas, lunch or dinner ! Or wander purposely to Docs 🍻 bar. Play pool or shuffleboard , have some amazing craft beer from their in house Brewery, play some pinball and hang out ! Keep wandering , an upstairs balcony overlooks an Atrium of immense size, or drop in for views in an eclectic dining room penned " McMenamins pub. Indoor/ outdoor/upstairs/downstairs/ mystery doors & mystery stairs/ a secret & hidden bar .....and if you are not careful you may wind up staying here as they have guest rooms on their 2nd, 3rd, 4th & 7th floors !! They get a 6th ⭐ Star for Imagination above all else, and there is much more I haven't shared so see it to believe it, exoerience it to feel it !!!
