What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Susitna River jetboat tours for their thrilling rides, knowledgeable guides, and stunning Alaskan scenery. Some reviewers noted the presence of mosquitoes during nature walks and recommended booking longer tours in advance.
"We were visiting Talkeetna in August and used the Alaska Toursaver coupon for the Two-Hour Wilderness Jetboat. We went mid-afternoon and we lucked out that it stopped raining. The river was flowing really fast. This is our 2nd visit to Talkeetna and our 2nd time on this adventure. It was fun both times. The guides were informative and we spotted several eagles."

"We went on the 5 hour Devil’s Canyon Adventure jet boat ride into the wilderness through a bit of Class 4 rapids. Eli was our Captain and Alice was our the naturalist. Both were great and each explained interesting history and facts about the area as we went on our trip on the Susitna River. We rode into Devil’s Canyon for a bit to experience the whitewater rapids and hung there while we took photos of the area and Alice took photos of us.
Included is a delicious sandwich and sides for lunch - turkey or roast beef. We ate at our seats as we made our way back downstream. We stopped to do a guided 1/4-mile nature walk, where we saw how the early settlers of the area lived. There were lots of mosquitoes so a netting might be wise. (There is a marine bathroom on board.)
We had a really great time and would highly recommend this trip…a highlight for sure! Thanks to Eli and Alice for making our day so special!"

"We didn't have time for the devil's canyon trip (want to do it next time) but we did a 2 hour trip down the river to a trappers camp and indigenous camp setup for education.
We had Jesse as captain and Holly as the guide, they we excellent, super knowledgeable and very engaging!
Most definitely recommended to check out Mahay's"
