"Glad we found this nice park on our trip to Tallahassee. Lots to do here including hikes, garden walks and some nice photo ops. Even had an encounter with a pretty large silk weaver spider. Apparently they are harmless so no need to worry. Keep moving throughout as we found the hiking trail that goes around the entire park (about 3 miles) when we were ready to leave. The Alligator warnings were concerning, but no different than the bear signs up north, so just stayed alert as we hiked. All in all, highly recommend this park. I would call the hike low on the difficulty scale. Also you probably could bike it as well as it was pretty flat. There was a small entrance fee to the park (~$4 per person)."

"I recently visited the Mackay Gardens State Park at 3540 Thomasville Rd, in Tallahassee, FL. I had a very nice afternoon walking around this property. It's a very nice walk walking along all the ballast bricks on the sidewalk. The person at the entrance gate told me all about them. Some beautiful views as well."
