What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Lake Ella and Fred Drake Park is a pleasant spot for a walk or picnic, appreciated for its scenic lake and central gazebo. Visitors enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and birdwatching opportunities. However, some find the park could be cleaner due to bird droppings and occasionally feel uneasy about the presence of certain individuals.
"Nice place for taking a walk or relaxing. There’s a swing which is mostly free!
You can walk 360 around the lake, have a picnic or just time for yourself. Quiet, less crowded and mostly there is a parking space. There are picnic tables and a sort of mini island although not completely separated. Worth it if you stay near by or wouldn’t mind a drive."

"This is a scenic park with a small loop around the lake. I agree with other reviews regarding bird droppings. There are a ton of ducks and Canadian geese, which i personally don't like. The sidewalks did have a lot of droppings. If you dont mind that, then this park is the place for you. I didn't find it super relaxing, as there were some "sketchy" looking people, so I felt like I needed to really pay attention to my surroundings. The coolest part was that a group of people were playing bagpipes and drums, so that was really awesome. There were a few gorgeous trees around the lake, and there are some cute little shops nearby. The parking area is quite small so you might need to park on the street. It's worth checking out and seeing what you think."
