I bought tickets to a Dwight Yoakam concert at Kit Carson in Taos, I’m in the back tier (Tier 2) and was wondering about the seating. Is it just grass. Are there chairs? Can we bring chairs? Any other tips about parking? How early should we get there?

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Kit Carson Park is appreciated for its spaciousness and family-friendly playground, making it a good spot for picnics and letting kids play. It also serves as a decent venue for concerts, though attendees should be prepared for grass seating and potentially high vendor prices. Some visitors note parking could be improved.
"I went to Kit Carson Park for the first time for a country concert. I can't really speak to the park or its amenities as locals would as I drove from a neighboring city. However, the park was beautiful and spacious. The staff was professional and quick when getting the concert goers to where they wanted to be after staying out in this NM heat. The sound system was great for the show and provided were food trucks and clean functioning restrooms. If you get the chance to see a concert at Kit Carson Park, go for it 🙌🏽"

"Stopped to picnic on our way up to Red River. Nice park that seemed to need a bit more parking. Would definitely visit again."

"Nice little side trip while headed fishing. I have a picture of me (as a kid) standing in front of Kit Carson’s grave - from 1968. I’m no Kit Carson fan, but it was a cool side trip nonetheless."
