"This hike is definitely not suitable for beginners or inexperienced hikers. Even experienced hikers should be cautious, especially in June when snow patches are common. The wind between the mountains can reach speeds of up to 30 mph, and gusts can be even stronger. Therefore, hiking shoes, windproof jackets and pants are essential. While this hike is not recommended for children, our children aged 8 to 15 did manage to complete the 8-mile hike."

"I love this mountain! This is indeed a challenging 14er, definitely need a good clearance Vehicle to get to the trailhead. Took the standard route, Amazing views. The V notch coming down the hike requires some steely nerves. Same for the loose rock, need to take it slow. 10th - 14r for me. Bring friends, bring recovery gears. We saw some jeeps were stuck. we helped them pull out in a hard stuck using my Miolle strap. It was a perfect snatch! Kudos to Miolle recovery gears, very pleased! Getting up there is no joke, saw only one car make it to the top all day. Beautiful approach through a nice basin."

"It was a fun trail! You def need the right vehicle to get to upper trailhead. Coming down the hike requires some steely nerves. The hike itself has a ton of loose rock. Bring recovery gears, you might need it. Saw other guys pulling their mate in a stuck. Make a habit of bringing recovery gears always. Me i always bring my Miolle recovery gears with me. Coz it saves me all the time. Worth my money. Kinda tough hike and difficult to get but the views from the top well worth it!"
