"Great experience! Front row 1st balcony. Autographs and pics with the cast after the show. Celebrating our daughter surviving her freshman year of college!!"

"I'm going to go ahead and give this 5 stars, not necessarily because it's deserving, but because I want it to continue to stay the before that it is. Always great staff, wonderful ambience and architecture, parking has become a cluster, and the seats really are cramped. Been to a few productions here, lovely acoustics too."
Sean Temple
"We had a great day visiting ASU Gammage for the Sunday matinee showing of Wicked.
This was my first visit to Gammage, a staple for the Phoenix art scene, and I came away quite impressed with the theater.
Parking was easy, with plenty of space right outside. We were able to get in and out quickly and walk to the building in minutes.
The layout and ease of movement is nice, very accommodating to a dad with his three girls. We were in the middle balcony and made in from door to seat in just a few minutes.
While not a theater buff, the sights and sounds were unbelievable! I’ll have to catch more shows here to confirm but I’ve heard nothing to the contrary.
All in, quite impressed with Gammage and I look forward to another show at the facility."

The Frank Lloyd Wright Legacy
Construction began in 1962 and was completed in 1964, shortly after Wright's death. It was designed to be a multi-purpose auditorium for Arizona State University, intended to host everything from lectures to concerts. The building's design emphasizes its connection to the desert landscape, with materials and forms that echo the natural environment.
Visitors often remark on the theater's impressive acoustics and the ease of movement within its layout, both testaments to Wright's meticulous planning. Even if you're not attending a show, the architecture alone makes ASU Gammage a worthwhile visit for anyone interested in design and history.
Navigating the Seating Chart
For those who prefer to be closer to the action, the orchestra level provides an immersive experience. However, it's worth noting that some reviews mention seats can feel a bit cramped, and legroom might be a consideration for taller individuals. If you're looking for a more budget-friendly option, the second balcony still offers decent views, though you'll be further from the stage.
Ultimately, the 'best' seat is subjective and depends on your priorities. Whether you're seeking an up-close encounter or a panoramic view, consulting the seating chart and reading reviews from fellow theater-goers can help you make an informed decision for your ASU Gammage experience.
The Broadway Experience at Gammage
The venue's reputation for excellent acoustics and its iconic Frank Lloyd Wright architecture contribute to a memorable theatrical experience. Attending a Broadway show here is often described as a special occasion, with many visitors making it a father-daughter date night or a celebratory outing.
Beyond the major touring productions, ASU Gammage also features a diverse schedule of other performing arts, ensuring there's something for every taste. From contemporary dance to musical concerts, the theater consistently offers high-quality entertainment.
