Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the Wabash Valley Railroaders Museum, highlighting the incredibly knowledgeable and passionate volunteers who make the experience personal and engaging. The hands-on exhibits, historic rolling stock, and prime location for train spotting are consistently praised, making it a highly recommended destination for all ages.

"My wife and I visited the museum for our first time on Saturday May 23rd, 2025. Admission was $7 each. Bill Foster, the museum president, took us on a tour of the buildings and rolling stock. He was VERY informative and passionate about the museum. Being a railfan, I appreciate someone who knows what the railroads meant to the history of this country.
The museum’s 2 interlocking towers were really fascinating. The levers in the towers no longer control actual train movements but are wired up to simulate their former function. Kudos!
The cabooses and troop car also have stories behind them that Bill explained.
The museum is located adjacent to a very active CSX rail line which was viewable from the museum’s elevated viewing deck.
As the museum wasn’t crowded, Bill spent well over 3 hours talking with us. I can’t thank him enough for spending so much time with us. He is truly THE type of person an organization wants dealing with the public.
Expect to spend at least an hour on the tour. The museum is only open Saturdays May through October.
Highly recommended for anyone who likes trains.
