What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors are consistently impressed by the quality and variety of outdoor sculptures, finding the blend of art and nature to be a unique and engaging experience. The Stockade Labyrinth is frequently highlighted as a standout feature. While the trails offer a good workout, some find them challenging due to hills and roots.
"I was pleasantly surprised at the amount, quality, and variety of artwork found along the extensive walking paths at Michigan Legacy Art Park. Since this is an entirely out of doors exhibit, you can expect that all of the sculptures are under assault by wind, rain, and snow, but to me that slow wear and tear is part of the appeal. A great deal of thought and effort has gone into nearly all of the sculptures. My favorite was the Stockade Labyrynth -- inside the structure, I felt as though I was on the set of M. Night Shyamalan's "The Village" or maybe transported back in time to pre-colonial America. Very cool and this exhibit alone is worth the price of admission. I tried to capture some of the essence of the structure in B&W photos, but the space itself is entirely three dimensional."

"These are very wonderful historic pieces it feels like you are walking through the foundations of what built the places around you and not just an art exhibit in the woods.
Love the free library. I always try to bring a book to drop off when I visit"

"Outhouse at beginning of trail & about 10 min ahead on trail at education ctr & small amphitheater. Take water with you! Be prepared for some steep hills up & down. Watch for tree roots & some fun sculptures!"
