Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Great Lakes Children's Museum as an ideal, clean, and engaging playroom for toddlers and preschoolers, with highlights like the water table and maritime exhibits. While some reviews mention mixed experiences with staff and suggest it might be less engaging for older children, the overall sentiment is positive for its target age group.

"My toddler loves it! So much fun for littles. She never gets bored. Place is clean, organized and staff is friendly"

Ruth

"I would call this more of a playroom than a museum but it was a great way to spend an hour on a rainy day. We came here to kill some time while we waited for the weather to clear. My 3.5 year old enjoyed the big wall where she could zoom up the ball and played on the indoor slide. The dress up areas and vet center were kind of scattered and no one was monitoring or helping keep things put away. The big water table was fun but didn’t have much oomph to get the boats moving. All in all not a bad place to spend an hour. I just don’t know that they should charge parents $9/each to watch their kids play with some dress up and water tables."

Jillian Austin

"I am so glad that we stopped here after a long drive on a day when the weather wasn't excellent. It's like the ideal playroom for young kids. Mine are 1 and almost 4, and it was the perfect combination of structured stations and freedom to play creatively. The space is not huge, but is designed so mindfully. There is even a little sensory station and a quiet room where I could nurse the little one. I can see how older kids might get bored, but it was perfect for the toddler/preschool age. We would definitely get a membership if we lived in the area!"
