"Good weather; the trails were easy to follow! Would love to have seen more of the lake on the hike, but I might have just taken the wrong route. Will definitely go back to check out some other trails. Cool to see different wildlife but watch out for the copperheads! (Photo attached)."

"We got our first taste of Lake Norman State Park on a rainy memorial day. The bike trails were all closed so we walked the Alder Trail and a portion of the Lakeside Trail. Both were in excellent condition even in the rain. The trails were easily navigable and few obstacles like roots and rocks to me with. There was lots of parking.
I hope to get back and try the bike trails and perhaps rent some kayaks with the kids. It was a great park and I'm sure we will visit again."
