"Good weather; the trails were easy to follow! Would love to have seen more of the lake on the hike, but I might have just taken the wrong route. Will definitely go back to check out some other trails. Cool to see different wildlife but watch out for the copperheads! (Photo attached)."

"Lake Norman State Park is a beautiful place to enjoy nature and relax by the water.

The trails are well maintained, the lake views are stunning, and it’s a perfect spot for hiking, kayaking, or just spending a peaceful day outdoors. A great escape from the city and definitely worth the visit!"

Tuung Thunm

"We got our first taste of Lake Norman State Park on a rainy memorial day. The bike trails were all closed so we walked the Alder Trail and a portion of the Lakeside Trail. Both were in excellent condition even in the rain. The trails were easily navigable and few obstacles like roots and rocks to me with. There was lots of parking.

I hope to get back and try the bike trails and perhaps rent some kayaks with the kids. It was a great park and I'm sure we will visit again."
