By Request: Some pics from Indian Ledge State PArk in Trumbull, CT

Woah! I googled "Indian Ledge" because that place looks like the place I call Trumble or Old Mine. Didn't know it had a third name, which seems like the official one. I have always parked on the south end by the park-and-ride and ridden a ways to get the section with all the…

Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Old Mine Park for its free access, beautiful riverfront, and pleasant walking trails, making it a cherished spot for picnics and nature walks. While some recall fond memories of its past as a swimming hole, the park continues to offer a tranquil escape for families and outdoor enthusiasts. Reddit+1

"Old Mine park was a place I used to frequent with my family when I was a little girl. It was a beautiful "swimming hole" in the classic sense, and great picnic area. I learned to swim there and I remember jumping off a diving board there for the 1st time. However, the park was ruined when the town allowed road builders to cut Old Mine Park into pieces, ripping off generations of children who may never experience an old fashioned swimming hole. At least I have great memories of the park. Sadly, my grandchildren will not"

"Passed by this park on my bike. This was the only spot along the 10 mile rail trail that had easily accessible Porta potty. It looks like there’s bathrooms as well perhaps open during the summer. Beautiful spot."
