What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Tukwila Pond Park offers a natural setting with trails and pond access, but visitor reviews frequently point to significant issues with litter, vandalism, and a lack of maintenance, making it less ideal for families. While some appreciate its connection to the Green River Trail, the park's condition often detracts from the experience.
"I'll let the images speak for themselves, to an extent. Perhaps if you make it down the trail, you will find much beauty. But upon entering, it's not an encouraged park to visit... at least if you want wholesome family fun and to enjoy the scenery. As my family and I walked into the park, we were "greeted" by a man staring at us and then staring out into space. He didn't move for several minutes.
The ground is littered with garbage, some seeming to be paraphernalia. I didn't add images of that. The bathrooms were boarded up and marked with graffiti. A burned down bench sat just in front of one. The garbage can was also partially burned. On another bench was some sort of fluid that had dried up. It wasn't from the birds. But I don't know what it was. Maybe it was paint. Maybe it was milkshake. Maybe something else. The view of the pond was depressing. We decided not to take the trail, so this review may or may not be fair. We just didn't see a point in continuing."

"The park itself is a nice little gem that the city has failed to up keep. As of this post they have place a fence around the perimeter to deter vagabond easy access. The city has landscaped and its more inviting. I’ve been coming here since I was teen. My favorite time to visit is fall."

"Yeah… this uh… this is probably the worst “park” I’ve ever been to. I think the Parks Department is too embarrassed to touch this place with a 10 foot pole. The attached photos do it justice. Mind the random piles of smoldering ash and literal mounds of trash by the pavilion. There is zero parking. Please don’t bring your kids."
