"Very cool displays of movie memorabilia inside the house. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and super friendly. Museum store offers everything. The park (rumble scene) was only a couple blocks away. I got excited as we turned the corner and I saw the actual house! It took me back to the movie and so many scenes rushed through my head.

"I looked up things to do in Tulsa and this showed up. I watched the movie not to long ago but have not read the book. The entrance fee was $10, which was pretty reasonable. They kept the rooms used in the movie exactly as it was, the living room, the kitchen, Ponyboy's room, and possibly the bathroom. They had the chocokate cake and beer Emilio Estevez' character had for breakfast. There were 3 items worn by the cast: Tommy Howell's purplish sleeveless shirt, Emilio Estevez' Micky mouse shirt, and Tom Cruise's rumble denim outfit.
Interesting facts: 1) Tom Cruise, Patrick Swayze, Emilio Estevez and Diane Lane of the main casts had not been back to this place. 2)The green towel hanging in the bathroom is signed by Rob Lowe for some fund raising the museum did. He signed several and the museum kept one. It's similar to the towel he used in the movie. and 3) Tommy Howell is active in helping the museum and the community.
Definitely not a waste of $10 (plus whatever souvenir you pick up). #staygold"

"If The Outsiders book or movie is of interest, the many movie scene locations will be of interest, especially the movie house museum at 731 N. St. Lewis Ave. Tulsa Oklahoma. It is loaded with movie photos, props, and still looks as if Darry, Soda pop or Pony boy could walk in the front door any moment. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the gift shop is well stocked with many great movie trinkets and clothing items. The museum brings the movie to life. Well worth the time to see this interesting location from the movie."
