"I’ve hiked this trail around 6 times now and I recommend coming here in spring after it rains. The canyon has a few spots with small waterfalls, a few small caves, and great rock climbing. This trail is mostly boulder hopping with a few rough trails. It gets steep at certain parts but most hikers should be fine. I never have any issues with parking either. This is my favorite hike in Joshua Tree.
Hike difficulty: 4/10"

"Toughest adventure of my life. Thank God I went with skilled and trained leaders from Wilderness Travel Course (WTC). Check out the pics from the top. Also, don't go in the water pools...only for the frogs."
Lena Mireles
"Legit scramble if you choose your own adventure. Wear grippy approach shoes because even if you stay in the dry river there are many boulders to scale. Some amazing scrambling as you hike higher in the canyon."
