Timing is Key for Views & Activities

Visit during daylight hours for the best views of the Snake River Canyon and waterfalls. Kayak and boat tours operate seasonally, so check availability. Early mornings or late afternoons offer fewer crowds and softer light for photos.

Watercraft & Safety First

If bringing your own watercraft, be prepared for a mandatory hot wash to prevent invasive species. An Idaho watercraft pass is required to avoid fines. Sunscreen and mosquito repellent are essential, especially in late spring/early summer.

Centennial Waterfront Park in Twin Falls, Idaho has a variety of great recreation including one of my favorite, easy hikes with an amazing view. Just past the Mogensen Trail parking area there is another small parking area with a trail that leads up to a giant rock formation with 360° views of the canyon rim, Snake River, and the Perrine Bridge. The next time you're in Southern Idaho, make sure...

Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about the stunning Snake River Canyon views and the variety of water activities available, from kayaking to boat tours. The catwalks offer thrilling perspectives, and the chance to walk behind a waterfall is a unique highlight. Some mention mosquitos and the need for watercraft passes as minor considerations.

"This park is for the boaters! There are some picnic tables but not for overnight. This park closes at 9pm. All water crafts have to be in line to get your water craft hot water washed off. All water crafts have to be checked in. This doesn't cost anything. You need your Idaho water craft pass, which costs $7. You can buy them online. If you don't have it on the water and the Sheriff's ask you for it, it will cost you $100 fine. The park doesn't require it but they will give you the information to help you out. It was really easy to do. The kayaking entrance to the water is amazing! They have the kayaking ramps, so you can get in and out safely. You can boat to the waterfalls and go under a bridge."

"Park is beautiful with plenty of picnic areas. Accessible to swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, and boating directly from the park. There is a boat ramp available and places to launch your kayak. Don't forget to stop at the hot wash station if bringing your own watercraft. If you want to rent, there are rentals available at the park.

Beware of the mosquitos in late spring and early summer! Remember sunscreen!"

Alyssa Beamer
