Visitors are excited about the Universal Hip Hop Museum's mission and the current pop-up exhibition, praising its immersive 'Golden Era' content and interactive elements. The knowledgeable staff and the vibrant atmosphere are frequently highlighted, leaving many eager for the permanent museum's 2026 opening. Some note the entrance can be hard to find.

"A physical and spiritual home for Hip Hop! Can't wait for it to open. Happy to be an early member and supporter! It has a beautiful location down by the river and a new park that is adjacent. The large set of stairs outside is a great place to chill and take pictures. I tiik these back when the Max the Robot sculpture was right outside. I imagine there will be many a block party popping outside The Hip Hop Museum once she opens!"

"The current exhibit (R)Evolution: The Golden Years of Hip Hop covers the period of 1986-1990 with artifacts, photos, videos, and more from the reigning artists of the era. It begins with a short video, and is then followed by a musical light show, and finally a self-guided tour through the rest of the museum. Note: this is a temporary space until their new museum building is completed in 2024/2025."

Derek McIver

"Whatever your favorite music genre is, you can have fun at this museum. You can experience here music, art, original artifacts and memorabilia from many stars and legends of Hip hop. You will also get a chance to do some graffiti on a storefront (without the risk of being caught). Staff were helpful and happy to share their knowledge. The entrance is hardly noticeable from the street level, but located adjacent to the pizza place. There is a small gift shop at the end of the exhibition. Currently running a display about the "golden era" of Hip hop that will surely make you feel the vibe and bounce out of the museum with a taste for more."
