"Beautiful woods. I had an incredible photo shoot here recently. If you like walks in the woods it's a lot of fun and has a boardwalk that is well maintained if you don't want to futz with uneven footing."

"I have twice times walking around this Busey Woods. One in the Spring and another one in the Winter. Unfortunately I just can share the photos for Winter. Its a great place to healing, refreshing, and trailing. I love this place much. The birds sound makes the ambience more great."
Winda Diana Sari
"Excellent hiking spot for the people in town, there are several short trails, I'd say it takes about 1 hour or 1 hour and a half to walk all trails. Even during winter there are plenty of living things to see like deer, trees, squirrels, birds, etc. The boardwalks can be slippery. I wish there were more signs indicating the trails and distances. Plenty of parking spots in front of the nature center. If Busey woods isn't enough, Crystal lake park is right next to it"

Beyond the boardwalk, a system of dirt paths winds deeper into the woods. These trails offer a more rugged and immersive experience, allowing visitors to get closer to nature. However, as noted by visitors, these paths can become quite muddy, especially after rain or during wetter seasons. Fallen tree trunks might also be encountered along these routes, adding to the natural feel. The combination of boardwalk and dirt trails means you can tailor your exploration to your comfort level and desired level of adventure.
While the trails are generally well-marked, some visitors have expressed a desire for more signage indicating distances and trail names. Despite this, the overall experience is one of peaceful exploration, with the sounds of nature and the occasional wildlife sighting enhancing the journey.

Seasonal Beauty and Photography
Autumn brings a spectacular display of fall foliage, with leaves turning brilliant shades of red, orange, and yellow.
