"I gotta say say that when I see this place or it's title "Val Balis" I think of my childhood with late nights filled of snowboarding fun & laughs, at the city Ski Center. It all started with the "lil guy sled hill" to the farthest right of the centers property. That was actually the first hill we shared our laughs on to be exact. It didn't look like much but it was ours to conquer & that we did.. I say in memory of Mark Kaleta, R.I.P 4ever&always bro, because he was one of my good school buddies who introduced me to the past time at this very place. Nowadays it does seem more sensible to switch from the skiing to sight seeing runs with the economy, different located attractions & all. But we will always have those days, of pure innocent fun at a sweet lil town spot!"
