"It was a nostalgic moment from my grad school back from Johnson City, Tennessee. The oak trail ended with a stunning nature that reminded me of the woods from one of the Lord of the Rings movies."

Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the Binghamton University Nature Preserve for its natural beauty, peaceful atmosphere, and diverse wildlife. Many appreciate the extensive trail network and the opportunity for regular walks. Some minor drawbacks include occasional muddy conditions and the potential for trails to be unclear in certain areas, though most find it easy to navigate with a map.

"Very pretty and great paths. My dogs and I really like it. Will be going back. I didn't have enough time to walk all of the trails."

Elizabeth Mackey

"Absolutely loved it. Thanks to my younger brother who chose this nature trail over a movie. I couldn't be happier that we made this choice. It was a cloudy day on May 16th, and the weather was perfect. The nature was stunning and each trail pathway had something different to offer. It was a nostalgic moment from my grad school back from Johnson City, Tennessee. The oak trail ended with a stunning nature that reminded me of the woods from one of the Lord of the Rings movies (please do not think I am exaggerating, this is my personal experience 😊). The pond trail was okay more muddy with the morning rain that day. We got to experience beautiful wildlife: a deer at the beginning of the trail, lots of chipmunks and squirrels, beautiful green frogs, couple snakes in the swamp, some small fishes, and a beautiful and more stunning landing and take off from a couple of Canadian goose. We didn't go expecting to see this wildlife, it just happened and we mostly kept our phone away (except when we took pics)."

Sundeep Venkatesan

"We moved here recently from Colorado so we certainly wouldn’t consider this “hiking” by any stretch of the imagination, but we love to come walking here every day we have off. It’s very peaceful, serene, and well maintained! Gets muddy and buggy but that is to be expected."
