Planning to visit Vicksburg this weekend for the first time. The only plans I have scheduled is to tour the Military Park and USS Cairo Museum. Any other suggestions?
I'll be there from Friday afternoon til Sunday afternoon. Coming from Baton Rouge. Whether it's local restaurants or bars or whatever. It's my first road trip with my new car so hoping to make it a tad special.

"What an awesome little gem here in Vicksburg. It's the old train depot and has so much history! Leah, the curator, welcomed us and helped us learn about our historical town! This depot is preserved and set up well. There is the historic village on the property - the blacksmith shop/garage, candy shop, school building, farmhouse and barn, print shop .. etc. it's all such an awesome educational tool! Come see it.
