"Decided to go kayaking and picked here. They had self-serve kayaks, which was pretty easy to rent. Had a great time. Never knew there was such a large lake here. Will be coming back for sure!"

"Last year we visited Independence Oaks to visit Lewis E. Wint Nature Center. Upon arrival there was lots of construction going on with the building, but the center was still open. We said we would be coming back to see the nature center finished. That's exactly what we did.
Once we parked, we headed out to walk a trail first and then look at the nature center.
We went down to one of the docks on Crooked Lake and sat there for a while and enjoyed the scenery. We then looked at the map and decided to follow tail #16. It was a very enjoyable walk.
On the way back we walked by the nature center and must say, very nice job!
Once again, we will be coming back to venture down another trail."
