Waco Surf offers a thrilling mix of surfing, slides, and a lazy river, making it a popular destination for families and water sports enthusiasts. Staff are often highlighted for being friendly and helpful, though occasional weather-related closures can impact the experience.
"Water slides were a blast. Wish we had booked surfing before we came. Stayed in a cabin and it was a great time for our family. 44” is the height limit for the big slides. Our 6 and 9 year olds had a blast as well. You can bring your own food and alcohol to the slide portion but can buy beer by the surf park!"

"We had a great time at Waco Surf! I want to give extra special thanks to the accommodating and helpful staff, especially Zach and Danny who were super friendly and encouraging coaches. We came late season mid week which made it easy to jump in sessions, however the river and slides (and a few bars)were closed.
I feel that surfing here was the best learning experience I’ve had in surfing yet.
We stayed in a cabin and it was clean, modern and comfortable, although I wish they had an inside flat top for cooking.
If you have experience surfing, have your pop up down and can surf down the line I would recommend surfing the advanced wave. If you’re surfing intermediate make sure you’re on a much bigger board (think of it like a less powerful point break).
Cocktails were good at the bar, and the food at the surfside shack was flavorful (spam bfast tacos ftw)
Definitely will be back, excited to get a crew together and possibly book a private!"

"We had an absolute blast at Waco Surf! The slides were fantastic, the atmosphere was great, and the staff were friendly. My only gripe? The “lazy” river might have been a little too lazy! The flow was so minimal that I’m convinced all the pipes feeding it were on a coffee break—except for the big waterfall pump behind the surf section, which seemed to be the only thing actually moving water. Without it, I truly believe it would’ve taken 3–5 business days to float around once. We ended up paddling ourselves like we were training for the Olympics just to make progress.
They have pumps that can produce giant rolling surf waves on command… but a lazy river that actually moves? Apparently that’s asking too much. 😆 Still, overall, it was a great day and we’d totally go back—just maybe with paddles next time to make it around easier."
