Food on the west side?
We’re staying on the west side of the island, away from all the touristy areas. Kind of near Mākaha. What’s best to eat in the area? And then what are the more affordable options? My bf loves seafood but I can’t eat it.

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Makaha Valley Country Club is praised for its excellent value and challenging links-style golf, complemented by stunning ocean views. While some sand traps are overgrown, the well-maintained greens and friendly atmosphere make it a highly recommended spot for a rewarding round. The modern carts and helpful staff add to the positive experience.
"If you hand ever played a links style course, with coarser grasses and paths that are only near the tee and green, you’ll understand this course better. It’s in pretty good shape, with the occasional unwatered area that you are hopefully hitting over anyway. Greens are slow because of the type of grass but they’re green and cared for and a challenge for any casual golfer! The bunkers are grown over, but who likes hitting out of sand anyway?! The carts are really nice, with great electronic yardage screens. Club up, be aware everything slopes towards the ocean, and enjoy your day! Worth every penny!"

"A Hole-in-One Experience!
Started my day with a mouthwatering breakfast that hit the spot before tee time. After tackling half the course, I couldn’t resist stopping in for lunch—and wow, the food was just as incredible the second time around! The staff were all warm, welcoming, and made me feel right at home. And let’s talk about those views—absolutely breathtaking from the green. Between the scenery, the service, and the bites, this country club delivers the full package. Can’t wait to come back!"
