What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Guests rave about the resort's immense scale and the abundance of activities, particularly the lagoon for snorkeling and the fun-filled pools. The staff often receive praise for their friendliness and helpfulness, with specific shout-outs for breakfast service. However, some visitors have experienced disorganization, especially at events like the Luau, and a few have noted issues with room conditions.
"We attended the Luau last Sunday night. It was extremely unorganized. My email confirmation said to arrive at 4:45, when we arrived they said “no, we start checking in at 5:15 please have a seat.” It was very hot in this area they had us wait. Lots and lots of other people showed up after us, no doubt their confirmation said the same thing. After waiting 30 minutes we were then checked in. Only to find ourselves in another line in which we were told they would let us in at 6PM. So, 1 hour and 15 minutes of standing in the sun, we were finally admitted to the Luau. It only got slightly better from there, no pig roast, we were on concrete and the chairs were terribly uncomfortable. The food was OK, served buffet style. The only high point was the entertainment, which started about 7:45. Also the servers who brought drinks were very nice. I end this review by telling you this is not worth the high price of admission. Go somewhere else or just go to a nice dinner with a view. I also kept looking around for a manager the entire time to talk to, must not exist. Very very disappointed."

"I got a day pass to Hilton Waikoloa Village for my mom’s birthday (she lives on island), and we had the best time! Trey was super helpful when we arrived, explaining the pools and telling us about the fish in the lagoon. Jeremy made amazing drinks and kept the fun going with great banter. The pools were beautiful, and the staff was incredible. Highly recommend — such a great way to spend a special day!"

"It’s only our first day here, but the property is amazing. Breakfast at the buffet is amazing- especially with VANESSA T. waiting on us! So friendly and funny and helpful. Great service and wonderful tips about local island sites. So much to do without ever leaving the resort. Everyone is super friendly and accommodating!!!! Free upgrades to bigger room with ocean view and everything."
