What Travellers Say

"This place needs more attention so people wanting to learn more get to. Amazing to be able to touch a part of history and how free citizens affected the outcome out our Free State. A must for all Kansas Jayhawkers"
Zacarias Michilinsky
"Great piece of Kansas history."
Ian Hartsook
"This was a great stop to stretch my legs in the flint hills. The experience would have been better had there been a better historic kiosk or historic placard. There were two rained on fliers in a box by the front door, but otherwise nowhere to see pictures of the inside or anything. Surely a site of this level of importance to Free State Kansas history can be better presented for public access and education. All that said, the structure is well maintained and taken care of and the property nice."
