"The exhibits were very interactive and unique. They didn't require reading little plaques like other museums, most sections had audio and lights that corresponded to what was on display. It made learning about the tribes' history easy and interesting, even my kids were able to pay attention and got something unforgettable out of it. The art and belongings are amazing, especially the modern art in the rotating gallery. It's a nice drive from both Portland or Bend, so if you visit Oregon it's well worth the stop."

"nice museum, exceeded my expectations a little. I generally give museums 5 stars if they are worth stopping at, or exceed expectations. A lot of great bead work here. The wedding ceremony exhibit was really well done.
I've been to a lot of museums and I've seen a lot of baskets and watched a lot of videos. I never get tired of little miniatures and dioramas tho. the wickiups were nice. I like maps a lot, would love to see a map of the different tribal territories and settlement areas maybe more visuals on what the food at the salmon ceremonies looked like or how it was prepared.
would like to see more about how baskets are made, maybe more about the different diets and native plants utilized by the different tribes."

"I wish I could manage to visit the museum.
First time I came it was close when it was suposed to be open with no warning and no one answering the phone.
The second time (labor day WE), there was a sign saying it was close on the parking lot..."
