"The Washington City museum is full of all kinds of interesting items. It was fun to see the replica of an old school room, desks that I used to sit in, And the old chalkboard.
There was a great variety of Early 19th century clothing, machinery, books, and much more. The curator was a delightful man with lots of knowledge and patience.
We were delighted to see the many pioneer plaques around the outside area. Leave plenty of time for enjoying the history at this museum.
There are several stairs that take you to another level, which may be difficult for those that have difficulty climbing stairs. The lower levels have plenty to enjoy."

"The Washington city museum is a very unique building. It was built in 1909 and used for nearly a century as a school house. It’s two story interior is filled with a variety of home and farm tools. There is an amazing doll house upstairs that was handcrafted by a local Washington resident many years ago. The detail is amazing. Certainly worth your time to stop by and enjoy a little Washington city history."
