"Yeah it's old and showing its age but that's part charm form me. They seem to have the same 4 or 5 events each year. Rodeo, motor cross, cattle congress, weekly bingo and a few others. The grounds include a small petting zoo and Electric Park Ballroom which I think is getting a much needed revamp soon. The place was always busy years ago with a few national acts playing the MacElroy Auditorium/Hippodrome as well as Black Hawk Hockey games and dances at EPBallroom every weekend."

"Rodeo was fun, motocross was also great. Rides have improved a little. Overall size of the fair seemed smaller this year. Would like to see more rides in the future. Observed children getting restless. I think this was due to lack of affordable activities. $5+ per person to pop balloons is an outrageous injustice to the kids. Seemed as though someone decided they would rather make $0 rather than charge $1 and get the lines going. I wonder whose bright idea that was to jack up the prices to the point of zero affordability… remember… these games are only fun to children and those children don’t have jobs. Let’s get a grip."

"Very dirty. Most bathrooms do not work. Not enough vendors to fill one building, since maintenance is a problem, consolidate all into one building. Fix trip hazards and clean grounds. Needs better organization and vision. Very disappointing"
