What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Isle of Ferns Park for its magical, fairy-tale atmosphere, especially during autumn. The charming bridge, peaceful trails, and scenic water views are consistent highlights. While the park is small, its beauty and tranquility make it a beloved spot for walks, dog outings, and photography. Some visitors noted litter along the riverbanks, which detracted from the otherwise well-maintained park experience.
"This was our first time visiting. You walk across a bridge to an island that has views of the water and some trails, with a few little wooden bridges. There's a large open space as well.
We visited in March. So trees were still bare and no greenery yet. This place would be beautiful in the fall!
We encountered many leashed dogs on our walk. People were fishing, and kayaking.
There was a nearby playground that was pretty popular on the nice day we visited."

"Wow! What a great place to walk, hike, or take a bike ride!
There are also small rapids just up the riverwalk. Very cool. This weekend is a national free-style white water event.
I saw them practicing today!
I'll stop here every time that I come to town!"

"This park is beautiful!!!
It's pretty small but it's absolutely beautiful! It's like you're in a magical fairy garden. Wish I had a kayak to launch off their little dock to explore the park that way.
Only reason it got 4 stars instead of 5 is we stopped to enjoy the view of the river at one of the little beaches hidden in the trees and there was garbage, used toilet paper and a needle floating in the river. Absolutely disgusting. I hate people. This isn't the parks fault but something to pay attention to if you go exploring off the trails.
The trails and the rest of the park were very well maintained and clean!"
