What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Captain Kilroy Park offers a fun, man-made lake experience with inflatables and a splash pad, ideal for younger children. However, visitors should be aware of potential issues like unexpected closures, non-operational water pads, and inconsistent rule enforcement. While staff are present for safety, some reviews mention overly strict or unwelcoming interactions.
"Absolutely ridiculous to pay for a season pass at this place when they close in August. We trekked our kids and all our things all the way there on the first weekend in September because it was beautiful out and they don’t update google so it said OPEN 11am-8pm. It was closed. Absolutely infuriating with two little kids when they don’t open their hours during off season. And never doing a season pass at this establishment when there’s such little time to go."

"I enjoy coming here, for such a small place it’s very nice. But I’m giving one star because the part that make this place more enjoyable isn’t working,( the water pad) come on, on the weekend? Where family with little kids come to spend time together? There was no sign when we came and people at the front desk didn’t mentioned anything about it."

"Cute little man made lake with inflatable gym and a dock with a diving board. Lake was clean with a sandy shore line. There was plenty of space to lay out chairs and a blanket. The Lifeguards were well trained and very good at recognizing little swimmers who run out of steam in the deep end. Swimmers had to wear flotation devices on the inflatables but not in the deep end. There was ping pong and foosball in the pool house. The snack stand had a huge menu. All the staff was extremely polite. Bathrooms were clean. Overall, this place is cute and perfect for kids 12 years of age and under. It’s quite pricey for out of towners (weekend 25/adult, 20/child). If you’re looking for something different that is not a pool or the ocean, this is a great place to explore."
