"I've been visiting Drakes Island for the last three summers and am always counting the days until I return. It's a big beach during the weekend, so it's crowded, but you can always find a place to put your chair or towel. There are a lot of families and medium-sized dogs during the day; you can bring your pet before 9 a.m. and after 7 p.m. during the summer and any other time of the year."
