What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the scenic beauty of the Mississippi Riverfront and the iconic Clark Bridge, highlighting its appeal for walks, cycling, and photography. The park offers family-friendly amenities like a splash pad and hosts lively events. Some reviews mention the presence of a homeless community, prompting reflections on social issues.
"My husband and I love coming over to this area. I enjoy walking the banks of the river to find rocks. There is a park (walking trail) that is beautiful. The birds and turtles as well as different plant life is awesome. I must comment however the homeless community that stands by the gasstation begging for money breaks my heart as I believe more could be done for homelessness. There is one specific homeless man who yes, you'll see drinking a beer from time to time but, I myself have given him a few dollars and had a chance to converse. He seems to be very intelligent just needs help. Sometimes the homeless really just need an i.d and a hot shower as well as less people to judge them. Americans as a whole have it made more than they Sometimes can see. Spreading positivity in the community with encouraging affirmations goes a long way as well. People don't always know WHY someone is homeless so before we judge we should understand better the situation. Visit this area, embrace its surroundings and enjoy!"
