Great getaway and give them a break from screens. Lots to see specially during the annual car show day."

"YouTube video of N.Y. Museum of Transportation.
One of my favorite, enjoyable, educational tours was my trip to the New York Museum of Transportation. They had a wide variety of vehicles dating back a century, "The Trolley". And you can go for a ride on it. While on the ride, an employee of the museum narrated some history, it was interesting.
Some of the other vehicles there were old fire trucks, (including the hook and ladder) plows trucks, old black top roller, an original Greyhound bus, and more.
I would strongly suggest if you are looking for an afternoon to get out and see something different go there. Kids enjoy it also. They see the way things were back in the days."

"It most revolves around trains, but they have a few interesting cars and emergency vehicles. They did have part of the Midtown monorail which is cool. The staff were very polite."
