"This is my go-to place! There are many different trails - 20 miles, 16 miler, 8, 6, etc! Possibilities are endless. Lots of amazing wildlife - gators (they never bother me - I've had them in the middle of the trail, and they just blink or they are skittish and run into the water!). Deer, wild boar (also skittish) otters, I've seen a bob cat twice, tons of birds, lizards, Jesus lizards and iguanas, geckos... This place is teaming with wild life! I feel God so deeply enveloped in this place it's where I come to feel closest to The Father.
Flooding hasn't really been a thing since they fixed the trails - the outer perimeter trail never floods - the inner Apoxee does a little bit but much less since improvements."
