"We visited Sutter Health Park to see the A’s vs. Tigers as part of a 3-day California trip with our teen grandkids. We’re on a quest to see as many MLB ballparks as we can, and this stop was definitely unique since the A’s are temporarily playing in a minor league park before moving to Las Vegas.
Ballpark Experience.
The setting was great. The stadium felt intimate, and being in Section 108 Row 10 meant we were right on top of the action. It’s rare to feel this close during a Major League game. Watching the A’s hit a grand slam and win made it even better—just a perfect evening.
Comfort & Atmosphere.
It was 95 degrees an hour before first pitch, and we were dreading how hot it would be. To our surprise, once we got inside, every seat was shaded. Add in a slight breeze, and we were all comfortable throughout the game. That thoughtful ballpark design turned what could have been a tough evening into a very enjoyable one.
Food & Concessions.
Lots of good food and beverage options throughout the park. What stood out most was how friendly and helpful the concession staff were. One person even fixed my order at no extra charge—when the mistake had been mine! That kind of service is rare and appreciated.
Staff & Hospitality.
From ushers checking in with us about what we were eating and whether we liked it, to concession stand staff going out of their way, everyone we encountered was exceptionally friendly. It really added to the whole experience and made us feel welcome.
Overall Impression.
This was a ballpark experience we’ll remember for a long time. Comfortable seating despite the heat, great food, close-up views of the game, and outstanding staff all combined to create a perfect evening. Highly recommended—especially while the A’s are here making baseball history in a smaller, more intimate setting."

"We recently visited Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento to catch the A’s take on the Guardians, and as fans from Northeast Ohio, it was a real treat to see our team play — especially in such an intimate, minor league setting. Even better, the Guardians came out on top!
The stadium itself is clean and well-maintained, with great views from just about every seat. It’s nestled in a fantastic location right across the river from Old Sacramento, which adds to the charm and makes for a nice pre- or post-game stroll. Parking was easy and hassle-free, which is always a huge plus when attending any live sporting event.
However, the biggest letdown was the food and drink situation. Prices were steep — a beer actually cost more than our tickets — and the quality didn’t justify the expense. The food options were underwhelming and felt like an afterthought rather than part of the experience.
Despite that, we had a great time watching the game in a relaxed atmosphere. It was a unique and memorable way to support our team on the road. If you’re in the area and enjoy baseball, Sutter Health Park is worth a visit — just maybe eat beforehand!"

We had seats in the shade, but it gets very hot if you don't have shade.
Food is typical stadium food. Hot dogs, hamburgers, some burritos and tacos.
I had a great trip tip sandwich at one of the side stands.
French fries are good, but they didn't give much for the price.
Popcorn is always good, but no butter.
The fried pastrami sandwich was not what I expected...meat on fries.
They don't have ice cream..only softee in vanilla or chocolate."
