"Totally worth the trip to Whitefish from Kalispell. Amazing beach amidst mountains. The view is spectacular. Nice sandy beach kids had fun building sand castles, water was a bit cold to get in but kids still did nice swimmable beach with picnic tables both shaded and unshaded. There is a long pier for some amazing views of the lake. There is a boat launching dock nicely built. Nicely paved trail accessible for both wheelchair & stroller. -What they need is a ramp to access beach for wheelchair & stroller as it was hard for us to bring stroller down to the beach. Ample washroom, however remians closed in winter. Ample parking right on the beach and its free. Check out tons of videos & images. & follow for more."
