What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the downtown Houston murals for their vibrant colors, artistic diversity, and the free, accessible nature of the experience. Many enjoy the opportunity for unique photo opportunities and discovering hidden artistic gems throughout the city. Some note that planning is required to see the most popular pieces and that comfortable shoes are a must for exploration.
"The staff was pleasant. The problem is this museum only has 3 rooms; 2 of which are very small and one medium to large room. When we went one of the smaller rooms was not set up. The other issue is that it was only photographs displayed which was great for me as I'm a photographer however I had a 9-year-old with me who lets just say she was less than impressed.😞Thankfully there was no admission fee otherwise I would be more annoyed we did however do the donations that they suggest which that's fine if it helps improve the arts. We were the only visitors."

"I've been going to the Wichita Falls Museum of Art at Midwestern State University from time to time over the years and finally got around to writing a proper review. I should note that I go there for both events hosted with several organizations and to enjoy some art exhibits. The layout of the museum portion is quite impressive, leaving quite a bit more floor space for larger exhibits that don't hang on walls. There are, of course, walls for the hanging arts, including additional exhibit halls. The staff there is also very helpful and friendly too."

"Really enjoyed this museum. Took about 30 minutes to an hour if you like to read the plaques. Located next to the creek/lake across from the main campus. Beautiful location."
