What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Sharon Rose Wiechens Preserve for its peaceful atmosphere and abundant wildlife, making it a perfect spot for a relaxing nature walk. The boardwalk offers great views and educational signage, though some find parking to be a challenge due to shared space with the dog park.
"Good place to slow down and appreciate nature for 20 to 50 minutes. Don't bring pets but there is a dog park next door. Take a leisurely walk around the boardwalk. You will see a few other Villagers out doing the same. There are a few benches to sit on. There are some informative signs. And a tower if you want to walk up the steps and get an overview of the whole scene. But if you want to hear the birds and frogs walk the board walk. No picnic tables. No restrooms."

"Our family had a great time on the boardwalk looking for wildlife. Not only did we see plenty, there are nice signs to explain the common birds, etc. This is the perfect place to take anyone. While there is a little walking on flat sidewalk from parking lot to boardwalk, we saw people of all ages having a good time."

"Enjoyed a nice walk along a boardwalk that circled out over a small body of water. A wonderful place to see all kinds flora and fauna. We spotted some turtles, various birds with their babies and a lazy crocodile basking in the sun. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back during the sunset hour as I heard that's a beautiful time to be there."
