What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Winter Park Chain of Lakes for its serene beauty and unique canal system, often comparing it to European waterways. It's a popular spot for kayaking, paddleboarding, and boat tours, offering a peaceful escape close to Orlando. Some find parking challenging during peak times, and construction can occasionally impact access.
"Beautiful park, but parking is taken by construction workers, students, and others I guess working in the area. No one on foot here and there are only a couple spots left to park. Saw one kayak go in the water. And restroom is locked up, out of order. Even the water fountain is turned off. But it is pretty."
Robert Shadowens
"Great place for canoeing, kayaking, and paddle. There is a boat ramp, and typically it is not busy with plenty of parking for vehicles with trailers. I think regular parking is a lot busier. I love taking my jetski in the canals, and admiring all the amazing homes and their architecture, beach at Dog Island, and Dinky Dock area. Have in mind there are speed limits and boat size limits when going in the canals - law enforcement always there. When going though the canals on weekends, try to prevent boat tours in the canals. They are about 4-6 boats going in the canal at the same time, there is very limited crossing space, and they have the right of way."

"Small but excellent lake park I like the smell beach area, small boat ramp, big trees."
