What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Winter Park Scenic Boat Tour for its relaxing atmosphere, beautiful scenery, and highly entertaining guides. Many highlight the unique perspective of the historic mansions and lush canals as a refreshing change from typical Orlando attractions. While generally well-received, some note that the tour can get crowded on weekends.
"Really enjoyed this scenic boat tour! The views of the houses were beautiful, and the commentary made the whole experience even better. The guide was very comical and laid-back—he kept us laughing the whole time with his jokes and stories while also sharing the history behind the houses. It was both funny and interesting, and he definitely kept everyone engaged. I’d definitely recommend this tour if you’re looking for something fun and relaxing to do."

"This boat tour of lakes in Winter Park connected by canals is $20 a person and well worth it. It was scenic, and our "Skipper" seemed well-informed and entertaining. It's an hour tour, and you are in an uncovered boat that seats 20 people, so be mindful of the weather. We found the boat ride relaxing and informative, and we are very happy that we decided to include it in our day."

"The Scenic Boat Tour in Winter Park is absolutely breathtaking! The one-hour cruise winds through three of the seven lakes and two of the narrow, tree-canopied canals of the Chain of Lakes. Gliding past gorgeous estates, lush tropical greenery, swaying palms, Rollins College, and the Albin Polasek Museum felt like stepping into a postcard.
Our captain was wonderful—sharing fascinating stories about the history, homes, and landmarks along the way. We even spotted cranes swooping down to fish and alligators lounging on the banks, which made it even more special.
The pontoon boats are open-air with padded seats, perfect for relaxing and soaking in the views as you slip under bridges and through shaded canals. Tours run every hour from 10 am to 4 pm, and tickets are very reasonably priced.
This is truly a hidden gem just outside of Orlando. If you’re visiting the area, don’t miss it—it’s the perfect mix of beauty, history, and tranquility. We loved every minute and can’t wait to go back!"
