"So you can walk around one way and it is a moderately sloped hike and walk back the same way to get back to the car. Or you can do a steep climb to this which is actually
challenging. We tried both and it was a lot of fun =]"

"Hiked mt. Tom in October during the peak foliage and it was an absolute beaut. The entrance to the trail is across the street from Billings Farm (open to public) and the loop is around 4 miles to reach the view. Once you are at the top you can either turn around and come back the same way you came from (highly recommend) or go down through more strenuous precipice trail ( a lot of rocks and narrow passages). If you decide to take precipice trail back make sure you download offline maps as it gets harder to locate the trail once you start on that path."
