Reviews Summary
Visitors are captivated by the raw power and mesmerizing spectacle of Thor's Well, especially during high tide. The dramatic surge and apparent draining of the ocean create a truly unique natural wonder. However, the extreme danger posed by sneaker waves is a recurring concern, with many emphasizing the need for caution and safe viewing distances.
"One of my favorite spots in the United States. I was there after high tide then came back at high tide. Wow, just phenomenal. The power of the ocean hitting up against the rocks. Awesome. Then, watching the water flow in and just drain away in Thor's Well is mesmerizing. Just don't get too close. People have lost their lives getting swept in because there is no way out. Spouting Horn is cool to see when the waves hit a certain way the water gets trapped inside the rock and shoots out. Loved sitting and just watching that. You can watch from the parking area or looking down from the bridge, take the winding ramp down (they warn to stay on the paved path because if not breaks down the vegetation and causes mudslides in the winter), or walk down the steps and explore the rocky landscape."

"Thor’s Well is a round hole in the rocks where the ocean dramatically surges in and out. You can park along the road and walk down a staircase to reach it. Keep an eye on the tides:
At high tide, waves shoot spectacularly through the hole – a breathtaking sight!
At low tide, you can explore tide pools full of sea stars, small fish, and other marine life.
A must-see spot for nature lovers and photographers.."

"Incredible experience where you can feel the spray from the crashing waves and hear their thunderous roar. The path down is easy to walk, but getting close to the water can be a bit tricky for those with mobility challenges. Also, keep in mind that parking is quite limited, so make sure to plan ahead."
