"A fabulous beach and view of S Yachats . We loved the magnificent ocean and beach, and so did the birds. Parking near the path down is easy, and well worth the modest effort. We stumbled upon this road and beach 2 yrs ago and were determined to be there again. Our visit last week was even better than our first, as we had a better understanding of what we were experiencing. One of these pics is my new screensaver…"

"Beach access is meh. I couldn’t see any spots where someone who isn’t fully able to access. Went down with our dog and there was a lot of algae and it was very smelly. We definitely have other beaches that we prefer to go to. It is beautiful if you want to just sit and watch."

Exploring the Tidepools
Pro-tip: Always check the tide charts before your visit. The best time for tidepooling is typically a few hours before and after the lowest tide. Wear sturdy, non-slip shoes as the rocks can be slippery. Bring a small bucket or container to temporarily hold any interesting finds for closer inspection, but always return them gently to their original spot before you leave.
Capturing the Coastal Beauty
Many visitors find the sunsets here to be truly spectacular, with the sky often erupting in vibrant colors. Consider bringing a wide-angle lens to capture the grandeur of the coastline and a tripod for sharper images, especially in lower light conditions. Be prepared for wind and sea spray, so protect your equipment. The natural rock formations and the way the waves interact with them provide endless compositions.
