"I went on a tour here with Portland Rec. Dept yesterday. This was my second time touring the buildings...such quaint structures with so much history. Then a van ride around York, with our guide pointing out places of interest, including Nubble Light.
Our guide, Ken, was simply wonderful!! Personable and so knowledgeable about the history - and the town!

Staff was friendly and happy to share what they knew about the Historical Society's work to highlight the area and people here. The buildings hold so much interest artifacts, there's an old tavern that we wandered through, and a beautiful cemetery on the grounds. So much art, too!"
